All-on-4 Implants: A Full-Arch Replacement
Patients looking to replace an entire arch of teeth can benefit from All-on-4® dental implants, a technique that uses the least number of implants possible in order to create a quick, permanent, and cost-effective restoration. At our Boynton Beach, FL, practice, Dr. Paul Archacki can provide nitrous oxide sedation to make this procedure completely comfortable for our patients. With over 30 years of experience, he offers comprehensive, top-tier dentistry to families in our community.
Benefits of All-on-4 Implants
Millions of patients worldwide have enjoyed the benefits of All-on-4 treatment. This procedure offers:
- Restored chewing function and aesthetics
- Long-lasting and natural-looking results
- Improved oral health
- Jawbone preservation
- A boost in self-confidence
Those who are long-time denture-wearers understand the many challenges that accompany traditional removable prostheses. With All-on-4 implants, these individuals can once again enjoy a fixed solution that will not shift, slip, or wobble while eating or speaking. This innovative treatment option can significantly increase the overall quality of life. Best of all, many candidates can receive their restoration on the same day of surgery.
Who is a Candidate for All-on-4® Dental Implants?
All-on-4 dental implants are an excellent treatment choice for many patients. For example, you may be suited for this procedure if you:
- Are in good general health with no medical conditions that could undermine healing
- Are missing most or all of your teeth in the upper or lower jaw
- Do not smoke or use tobacco products
- Have sufficient jawbone density and healthy gums
When placing All-on-4 implants into the jawbone, Dr. Archacki positions them strategically to maximize existing bone structure. For this reason, even patients who previously did not qualify for implants may benefit from this revolutionary method.
Why Choose Dr. Archacki?
Many dentists place All-on-4 dental implants. However, few are as skilled and knowledgeable as Dr. Archacki. In fact, in addition to his years of experience, he is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration. This esteemed organization is comprised of 6,000 dental clinicians who gather to share ideas regarding advanced technology, modern techniques, and emerging research on implant placement.
All-on-4 Treatment Process
The day of your procedure, you will be escorted to one of our comfortable treatment rooms, where our team will prepare you for surgery. If you choose nitrous oxide sedation, a small mask will be placed over your nose and you will be asked to breath in normally until the gas takes effect. This will induce a state of relaxation and increase your comfort level throughout the procedure.
Next, Dr. Archacki will administer local anesthesia to numb the gums. A small incision is then made in the gum tissue to access the underlying jawbone, where the implant posts will be placed. In the All-on-4 procedure, two implants are typically placed vertically toward the front of the jaw, while two angled implants are positioned in the back of the jaw. Once complete, the incisions will be closed with sutures.
Unlike traditional dental implants, the All-on-4 option often allows for immediate loading. This means patients can typically leave our office with a brand-new smile after only one treatment session.
