Teeth Whitening & Veneers

Don't like the color of your teeth? Have you noticed your teeth getting darker or yellow in color or has one of your friends told you that your teeth are no longer white? We use the Philips Zoom! teeth whitening treatment system in the office. This is a top-of-the-line system with the best-proven results. We also supply at-home whitening kits for your convenience.

In-office teeth whitening treatment is also a highly recommended option to undergo before you choose the color of your porcelain veneers. You want to have natural looking teeth. You can get a better match for your veneers once your teeth have had a whitening treatment. Veneers are often combined with gum contouring for even more dramatic results.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges are restorations that are fixed in place. Dentures are removable, dental crowns and bridges are not. Dental crowns are cemented onto your existing teeth or implants. A dental crown is like a "cap" over a damaged tooth. Dental crowns can also be placed to restore dental implants.

Porcelain and ceramic dental crowns can be made to match the rest of your teeth in color. Some crowns are made out of gold or other metal alloys which are most often recommended for your back teeth as the alloys are much stronger than porcelain.

Dental Implants & Dentures

Dental implants are a way to replace a missing tooth without having to have removable dentures. The dentist implants an implant post as a substitute for your tooth root, and this creates a strong foundation for the dental crown to then be placed over it. Many people would rather have an implant than have an empty space in their mouth. Also, most people don't want to wear dentures so implants are a great alternative.

Dentures are designed to replace a partial or entire dental arch. Traditional dentures feature a plastic base and artificial teeth. Implant-supported dentures are affixed to dental implants. For your convenience, we Dr. Archacki offers the AvaDent® digital system, which enables us to design and fabricate custom dentures in only two office visits.

Dental Cleaning, X-rays, Exams

It is highly recommended to have your teeth cleaned at least once every six months and have your teeth x-rayed once a year. Prevention is the way to go in order to keep your teeth clean and safe from decay and other oral diseases. Professional cleaning often also helps the hygienist to notice anything that needs the dentist's attention right away. X-rays show the dentist if you have cavities. Filling your cavities is very important to prevent further tooth and root damage. We can also screen for conditions like temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder during these visits.

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings have changed a lot over the years. It used to be that you would get silver fillings. Silver fillings contain mercury which many people don't want to have in their mouths. Nowadays the fillings are the same color as your teeth so you don't have that gray look when you smile. If you have silver fillings Dr. Archacki can remove those and refill them with the composite resin which is much closer to the color of your natural teeth.

Dental Extractions

Sometimes one of your teeth causes you too much pain which usually is a sign of decay to the point where a filling will not help. If your tooth reaches this point, often a tooth extraction is your best choice of treatment. Extracting a tooth does not take long but you will feel discomfort for a while after the extraction.

There is also important care of that hole that is left after a tooth is removed for about 24 hours after you have it removed. Make sure to follow Dr. Archacki's instructions for the care of your teeth and area of extraction.

Oral Hygiene

Oral hygiene is so important to not just the health of your mouth and teeth but also your heart. Taking care of your teeth by brushing after meals, cutting down on sweets and flossing daily are just a few of the things you have to do to have excellent oral hygiene. See Dr. Archacki if you have a lot of gum bleeding, bad breath or tooth aches. Oral hygiene is important to your self-esteem and confidence also.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is typically used in cosmetic applications. If you want to have a better-looking smile and great looking teeth have Dr Archacki create your smile plan! Dental bonding uses a resin that is colored match your tooth, and repairs a chipped tooth and strengthens a weakened tooth. Dental bonding is among the least expensive of cosmetic treatments. It is fast and does not hurt.

Soft Tissue Treatment

Gum disease can be a severe problem. One of the most effective ways to help with this is by a soft tissue treatment. Soft tissue treatment consists of scaling and root planing between the gums and down to the roots. It removes the tartar from the surface of your teeth and the root planing smooths out your root surfaces and infected parts around a tooth. It is a simple procedure and very effective.
